By BBN Staff: When Naurice Leslie Jr. was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday, he was charged with possession of crack cocaine, which he claims was not his.
Police busted Leslie with 0.3 grams of crack on Saturday, June 25, on Mahogany Street.
In court, he pleaded guilty to a single count of possession of controlled drugs, claiming that an elderly man gave him $10 to go buy the crack and he accepted because he intended to use the money to buy food.
For his guilty plea, he was fined $100 plus $5 cost of court which he must pay by August 31 or face one month in jail for default.
