By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation (MBECA) Kennedy Carrillo on Tuesday morning met at a breakfast meeting with Ministers and other representatives of champion countries of the Commonwealth Blue Charters Action Groups in Lisbon, Portugal, said the Ministry of the Blue Economy in a social media post.
The Ministry of Blue Economy said on Monday that Prime Minister John Briceño is heading a Belizean delegation to the United Nations (UN) Oceans Conference in Lisbon.
“This high-level [meeting] provided an opportunity to share accomplishments, challenges and identify specific areas of support for the work of ocean conservation and blue economy in Belize,” said MBECA.
CEO Carrillo was joined by Director of Blue Economy, Maxine Monsanto, for the breakfast meeting.
The Ministry of Blue Economy said Belize will be represented at important bilateral meetings and interactive discussions throughout the entire week.
