Ministry of Health and Wellness conducting mosquito fumigation in San Pedro this week

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW), along with the San Pedro Town Council (SPTC), is conducting mosquito fumigation in San Pedro this week.

The San Pedro Town Council said in a social media post that the spraying started on Monday, June 27, and will continue until Friday, July 1.

“The spraying of the island will be in two cycles per area (Each location will be sprayed 2 times within the week),” said the San Pedro Town Council.

“These sprayings will be done in the morning from 4am-6am & in the evening from 5pm-8pm.”

The San Pedro Town Council asked residents to inform the Council of serious mosquito infestations in or around their homes, particularly in areas with standing water, “which may be where all the mosquitoes are nested”. The Council said the MOHW and SPTC maintenance workers will go to these locations to fumigate.
