By Benjamin Flowers: Police have arrested and charged three Cayo residents for being in possession of a gun without a license for it.
On Monday, charged Oscar Omar Caretella, 28-year-old, Belizean of, Santa Elena Town, Cayo District, Dennis Matus, 32-year-old, Belizean, and Rene Zetina, 32-year-old Belizean, all Cayo District for the offense of “Kept Firearm without a Gun license, and kept ammunition without a gun license”.
On Sunday, officers on mobile patrol on Figaro Street, San Ignacio Town, Cayo District, conducted searches on a Red Geo Prizm without a license plate, where they found a .9 mm Jericho Brand 941 PL pistol with serial number 41311702l.
