By Benjamin Flowers: The Belize Bank Limited has warned that fraudulent emails are being circulated for the purpose of scamming its customers.
The bank issued a release this afternoon clarifying that it has sent no such email and that customers should be on the lookout for them.
“We are aware that some customers have been receiving emails claiming to be from the Belize Bank, advising us to unblock accounts by clicking provided links. Please note, these emails are not from the Bank and customers should not click on any of these links.,” the Belize Bank said. “We remind customers to be extra vigilant when opening emails claiming to be from The Belize Bank Limited.”
The bank also noted that its official emails come from the domain (@belizebank.com), and urged customers not to click on any email if they are unsure it originated from the Belize Bank. Customers are also urged to contact the Belize Bank via Whatsapp at 613-0257 to get immediate support in addressing any doubts.
