By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Institute of Archaeology is closed until Monday, July 4, due to Belize Archaeological Symposium which starts today, June 29, and runs until Friday, July 1.
“Due to the Belize Archaeological Symposium being held in San Ignacio, the Office of the Institute of Archaeology will be closed starting Tuesday, June 28, 2022, and will reopen for normal operations on Monday, July 4, 2022,” said the Institute of Archaeology (IA).
The IA said that persons who need any assistance or information should contact the NICH headquarters at 227-0811.

The Belize Archaeological Symposium features 38 presentations concentrating on two themes: ‘Transformation, Transitional Expressions, and Adaptations during Critical Period of Ancient Maya Civilization’ and ‘Archaeology in Belize: Research Investigation Results’.
