COVID-19 update: Daily cases down, but another death reported

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports 171 new cases of COVID-19 countrywide during the most recent reporting period, down from 223 on Wednesday.

Another person has died, bringing the death count to 680. There are 1,002 active cases of the virus and five persons remain hospitalized.

55 new cases were reported across the Belize District including 35 in Belize City; 52 cases were reported across the Cayo District, while the northern and southern districts each recorded fewer cases, 39 and 25 respectively between them.
