Cycling’s Team Belize ready for Caribbean Games in Guadeloupe

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The three cyclists selected by the Cycling Federation of Belize are ready to represent Belize after participating in the opening ceremonies on Wednesday, June 29, in Baie-mahault, Guadeloupe.

The first Caribbean Games run from June 30 to July 3.

The Under 23 cycling team comprising Gabrielle Gabourel, Derrick Chavarria, and Shawn Codd, put on their official blue, white, and red sportswear and paraded proudly with the Belize National Flag at the opening ceremony of the regional games last night.

The three are competing in both the Road Race and the Individual Time Trial championships.

The three, who arrived in Guadeloupe on Tuesday, are accompanied by CFB Vice President Dion Leslie.
