By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: An officer from the British Army Training and Support Unit in Belize (BATSUB) is being accused of stealing an assortment of men’s deodorant, whiskey, snickers, and cigarettes from the duty-free store at Price Barracks.
The store is located inside the BATSUB base at Price Barracks.
During an interview with News 5, Minister of State in the Ministry of National Defense and Border Security Oscar Mira said that the police are now investigating the matter.
Mira says that Price Barracks is divided into two, the Belize Defence Force side and the BATSUB side.
In addition, Mira noted that there is a video that captured the incident and all indications are that it was probably done by a member from the BATSUB side.
