National Bank of Belize sponsors FFB’s National Interdistrict Football Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) has renamed the newly started National Interdistrict Competition as the National Bank of Belize Amateur Interdistrict Competition after receiving sponsorship from the National Bank of Belize (NBB).

“This new launch comes after the FFB signed a partnership agreement with the National Bank of Belize which will see the sponsorship of the tournament through the NBB,” said the FFB on Wednesday.

“It all starts with tournaments like this, which is the seed where the players come from and we are pleased to be a part of this,” said the General Manager of the National Bank of Belize Alvaro Alamina.

Though the National Bank of Belize Amateur Interdistrict Competition is its newest championship, the FFB is already claiming it as the federation’s “premier event for Amateur Clubs across Belize”.

Twenty teams are participating in the championship which goes into Fixture 2 this weekend.

“The Tournament showcases the best prospects and previously unseen talents from across the country,” said the FFB.

“The lives of athletes, coaches, fans and families are being positively impacted,” it added.
