By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Corozal’s Bay City FC blasted the Santa Elena Strikers 10-0 at the Santiago Ricalde Stadium in Corozal Town on Saturday securing their ticket to the one-shot National Amateur Women’s League Final.
Bay City pounded the Strikers 21-0 on aggregate having drilled them 11-0 the previous Saturday in San Ignacio.
This week, Kaite Jones scored four times in the 18’, 67’, 75’, and 78’. In all, Jones scored seven goals in the semifinals having hit a hat trick in the first leg.
Alisha Terry got a hat trick this time with goals in the 19’, 12’, and 44’. Darina Tzul scored a brace in the 4’ and 8’ while Nora Ramirez nailed one in the 57’.
Bay City has been merciless with the competition scoring 96 unanswered goals so far in ten games.
Bay City now go into the Final against Wagiya SC United who they defeated twice during the regular season.
