By Aaron Humes: Despite 233 new cases reported over the first weekend of July, the number of active cases of COVID-19 countrywide is below 1,000 entering today, Monday – 815 to be specific.
The number of persons hospitalized now stands at eight.
The Belize District reported 71 total new cases including 41 in Belize City, nine in Ladyville, and seven in San Pedro Town.

The Cayo District reported 72 cases including sixteen in San Ignacio/Santa Elena and 12 in Belmopan.
The northern districts reported 48 cases between them (23 Corozal, 25 Orange Walk) while in the south there were 42 new cases (24 in Stann Creek, 18 in Toledo).
