Simone Biles spends pre-4th of July weekend at Ambergris Caye

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: As Americans were getting ready for 4th of July festivities, Olympic-winning medallist Simone Biles was having a fun time this past weekend at Ambergris Caye taking a break from her busy schedule.

The American gymnast last week made the news again as the United States White House announced that she will be among 17 persons who will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States’ highest civilian honour

At 25, Biles is the youngest athlete to ever receive the honour.

“Only BS I need is beach & sun,” said the celebrity on her social media platforms posting two photographs of herself in a green bikini at La Isla Bonita.

It’s not an unusual occurrence. Biles, who is of Belizean parentage, holds a Belize passport and regularly visits the country particularly on her vacations.
