By BBN Staff: A tropical wave over the area is supporting showery weather according to the National Meteorological Service.
Skies today will be cloudy at times with a few showers or thunderstorms and some light rain over most areas today, with shower activity gradually decreasing tonight.
High temperatures are 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 90 degrees over inland areas and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly at five to 15 knots. The seas will be choppy with waves of three to five feet. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near thunderstorms.
Tides will be low at 8:07 this morning and 8:54 this evening and high at 1:54 this afternoon. Sunset occurs at 6:31 this evening and sunrise on Wednesday is at 5:23.
Wednesday sees a return to mainly fair weather with only isolated showers or isolated thunderstorms.
