One man hospitalized following a traffic mishap in Georgeville, Cayo

By Aaron Humes: A man remains hospitalized following a traffic accident in Georgeville, Cayo District.

This morning at around 7 a.m., Police officers in the Cayo district responded to a report along the George Price Highway.

According to 39-year-old Dorita Pineda, she was driving and upon taking the curve by the Caracol Bar, she met a tractor that she said was going slowly.

When she applied brakes, she was unable to stop and collided with a trailer being pulled by the tractor.

Upon impact, the driver who was traveling inside of the rear-ended trailer fell out.

The victim reportedly sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan.

Police investigations continue.
