Three men arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition

By Benjamin Flowers: Cayo police have arrested and charged three men for firearms offenses.

Reports are that a white pickup truck pulled up to a vehicle checkpoint on the George Price Highway, and the officers asked the men to exit the vehicle.

When police asked the men for documentation to prove ownership of the vehicle, none of them could provide it, so the officers conducted a search.

During the search, they found a .22 pistol that had a magazine containing 14 live .22 rounds of ammunition.

Police then charged 23-year-old Clinton Medina, 23-year-old Mark Coleman, and 22-year-old Edgar Lopez with the crimes of “kept firearm without a gun license” and “kept ammunition without a gun license”.

Police investigation into the matter continues.
