Verdes FC welcomes back Mexican trio as they prepare for national, international competitions

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: National football champions Verdes FC welcome back three Mexican players as they prepare for the upcoming Premier League of Belize 2023 Opening Championship which kicks off on June 23.

“Join us in welcoming back home to the west the core of our foreign players, Edwin Villeda (Mex), Camilo Marquez Fajardo (Col) and Christian Ramirez (Mex). This is serious, the Green Machine is serious,” said Verdes FC in a social media post.

Verdes are also preparing for their international participation against El Salvador’s Platense, not to be confused with Honduran club Platense, in the Concacaf League.

Verdes should play Platense at tye FFB Stadium in Belmopan on July 27 with the returning match set for August 3 in Zacatecoluca in El Salvador.
