By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The United Democratic Party (UDP) says Herman ‘Kaibil’ Valdez, who died after being knocked down in San Ignacio on Monday, was a UDP stalwart, a true soldier and a dear friend.
“Herman “Kaibil” Valdez possessed meritorious qualities and was respected by many. He was industrious, loyal and kind; always willing to lend a helping hand. He was passionate about life, family, the UDP and his dear friend Salva,” said the UDP in a social media post.
“Kaibil was a true UDP loyalist. He was dedicated to his Party and would never be seen without a red shirt or hat displaying a “VOTE UDP” emblem. Anyone who ever dared to challenge his commitment and political persuasion would be censured into place by his conviction.”
The UDP said his untimely death has left a void that they will never fill.
“It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our faithful fighter, Kaibil,” said the UDP.
“The UDP extends its sincerest condolences to his wife, Ms. Nadine, his four children, grandchildren and to his dear friend Salvador Fernandez. Farewell, Kaibil. May your soul Rest in Peace and rise in eternal glory.”
