Belmopan police find over a kilo of weed

By Benjamin Flowers: Belmopan Police have taken over a kilogram of marijuana off the streets.

Reports are that officers were conducting searches in the May Flower Street area of Belmopan City yesterday when they discovered a rectangular parcel, wrapped in plastic, which contained the marijuana.

Police weighed the contents which amounted to 1,079.55 grams (1.07 kilograms).

No one was in the area at the time and as a result, the suspected cannabis was sealed, labeled, and deposited as found property.
