By Aaron Humes: A standard internal disciplinary charge of acting with prejudice to good order and discipline will be laid tomorrow, Friday, at a hearing by the Belize Police Department against Constable Alicia Trapp.
Trapp’s attorney Orson Elrington indicated tonight that he will represent her at the hearing where she will make her plea.
Despite public claims of breaches of the Department’s social media policy by Commissioner of Police Chester Williams following Constable Trapp’s confrontation with Minister Julius Espat in Teakettle village in May during a village council election there, no such charge has been laid against his client, according to Elrington.
As he had warned the Department beforehand, Elrington said they would now proceed to file constitutional and other claims against the Department and the Commissioner for alleged breaches of Trapp’s natural rights.
