Belize City Council is conducting a summer work program for high school students

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “Following the recent site visit of Digi Park by Mayor Bernard Wagner and Councillor with Responsibility for Parks and Beautification Natasha Pipersburgh, the council has embarked on a summer work program for high school students in Belize City,” said the Belize City Council in a social media post on Thursday.

Youths from Belize City have been busy painting and beautifying Digi Park.

“This work program offers our students the opportunity to develop their community by working on park beautification and improvements under the guidance of employees from the Works Department and the Parks Unit while gaining valuable work experience.”

The Belize City Council said the students participating in the program get paid to aid them with their preparations for the upcoming school year.

“The Belize City Council continues to be people-focused and continues to find new ways for our youths to spend their time in safe, productive spaces this summer,” said the Belize City Council.
