Hattieville man charged for assault and damaging rear window on woman’s vehicle

By BBN Staff: A 20-year-old Hattieville Village resident is out on bail following a charge of common assault and damage to property.

Krismer Jones appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week, where he pleaded not guilty to both charges. When asked what his relationship with the complainant was, Jones explained that she lives in the same neighborhood, only a lane from him.

Bail was granted to him in the sum of $1,000 plus one surety of the same amount which he was able to meet.

The female complainant told police that on June 25, she was having an altercation with another woman in Hattieville when Jones came to intervene. She said she walked away and that’s when Jones picked up a rock and threw it, damaging the rear window of her SUV.
