By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Twenty-eight-year-old Jose Reyes, a carpenter of Camalote, Cayo has been nominated by the Government of Canada under the provincial nomination program.
The Provincial Nominee Program in Canada is for workers who have the skills, education, and work experience which will contribute to the economy of a province or territory and are interested in becoming permanent residents.
Reyes and his family left the country on July 2, 2022, and after arriving in Canada, a valid job offer awaits him along with full benefits for his family including free education, free medical health care, and other benefits for his 9-year-old daughter and his 1-year-old son.
During the 3 year duration of the program, Reyes’ daughter will attend school in Canada — he has a valid job offer for 3 years and is given the option to extend it to 30 days.
After the duration of the program and after having received permanent residence, Reyes qualifies for Canadian citizenship.
