Motorcyclist dies after collision with pick-up on Old Northern Highway

By Aaron Humes: Police are holding a driver after a collision earlier this evening between Miles 19 and 20 on the Old Northern Highway.

According to police, one Dean Ozaeta was driving south toward Sandhill village when his motorcycle allegedly drifted out of its lane and collided head-on into a blue 4-door GMC pickup being driven by Shawn Jones in the other direction at the first curve.

Ozaeta died on the spot from head and body injuries while Jones is being held at the Ladyville Police Station. Investigations continue.
