Verdes doing pre-season training, preparing for Concacaf’s Central American Championship in Cancun

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: National Football Champions Verdes FC are in Cancun, Mexico, for pre-season training plus preparation for their participation in the Concacaf Central American Championship.

The National Champions travelled there on the weekend and arrived well on Sunday evening.

In Cancun, Verdes had their first training session at the facilities of Deportivo Viany on Monday morning prior to their first of three friendly matches on Tuesday.

Mexican coach Armando Urueña, who has previously coached Verdes, is collaborating with the Belizean champions during their stay in México.

The Premier League of Belize kicks off on Saturday, July 23, and Verdes first match in the Central American Championship against El Salvador’s Platense is set for Wednesday, July 27 at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan with the returning game scheduled for August 3 in Zacatecoluca in El Salvador.
