36-year-old Punta Gorda man accused of sexually assaulting 24-year-old woman neighbour

By BBN Staff: A man from Punta Gorda is accused of sexually assaulting his neighbour.

He is 36-year-old Darius Gregory Avilez, better known as Goyo.

According to police, the 24-year-old woman reported that sometime after 2:00 am on Sunday Darius Avilez entered her home and sexually assaulted her.

Following the report and subsequent investigations, Avilez was formally arrested by Punta Gorda police on Thursday July 14th. He was charged for one count of sexual assault.
