Man who posted pic of his penis in sleeping woman’s face granted bail but banned from social media

By BBN Staff: Daron Gentle, who was initially charged with ‘sexual assault’ in March after he was accused of placing his penis on a sleeping woman’s face and snapping a pic to post to social media; has been granted bail with stringent conditions from the court including being banned from posting anything on social media or having his bail revoked.

Chief Magistrate Sharon Fraser granted Gentle bail in the sum of $2,000 on Thursday. His bail was also granted with the condition that he must stay away from the victim and not interfere with her in any way.

In March, Gentle had originally pleaded not guilty to the charge of sexual assault. The prosecution also intends to bring additional charges against Gentle for cyber crimes.

The victim had told the court that she allowed Gentle in her house one night and was celebrating her birthday. She told the court she got drunk and the next day when she awoke, she saw that Gentle had posted a picture of her on social media with his penis on her face, obviously without her knowledge or consent. Gentle, while he plead not guilty to sexual assault in March, told the court that he did indeed post the pic because he and the victim were in a relationship and he found out that she had been unfaithful.
