Pistol and 15 live rounds of ammunition found in Benque

By BBN Staff: A pistol and 15 live rounds of ammunition was found by police in Benque Viejo del Carmen on Thursday.

Police report that while conducting a special operation along the Mopan River bank and Riverside Street in Benque Viejo, they came across a 9mm pistol. The pistol contained a magazine with 15 live rounds of Luger brand ammunition.

No one was in the area at the time and as a result, the firearm and ammunition were sealed, labeled, and deposited as found property.
