By Benjamin Flowers: Today marks the final day of activities in the 22nd Annual Placencia Lobster Fest.
According to the official schedule, festivities for the three-day event, which began on Friday, July 15, began at 10:00 a.m. with live entertainment.
Today’s festivities will include: boat rides, the Old Master Rum Mechanical Bull Riding competition, lobster cook-off, boat parade and beer drinking contest, among others.
The event marks the return of one of the largest events on Belize’s social calendar, since the lifting of gathering restrictions under COVID-19 regulations back in March.
Lobster fests, which attract large crowds of tourists and locals alike, were also held in San Pedro and Caye Caulker earlier this month.
