Hattieville couple shot on Sunday morning in stable condition, police say

Posted: Monday, July 18, 2022. 1:49 pm CST.

By Benjamin Flowers: Police say that Hattieville residents 20-year-old Rasheed Maskall and 23-year-old Latifa Ferguson have received medical treatment and are listed in stable condition after being shot on Sunday morning.

Maskall and Ferguson were in bed around 5:10 a.m. when they heard a barrage of bullets let off, and they realized they had been shot.

Maskall received a gunshot wound to the testicles, while Ferguson received a gunshot wound to the toes.

Police say that they have managed to interview the victims, but thus far they have not recovered any information that would lead to a conclusive motive for the shooting.

Investigations into the matter continue.
