By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Prime Minister John Briceno highlighted his administration’s Plan Belize educational achievements on his Facebook page.
Prime Minister Briceno said that children in at-risk neighborhoods and communities are now benefitting from the free education pilot program at Gwen Liz, Sadie Vernon, Maud Williams, and Excelsior high schools.
“The expanded mandatory stay in school age from 14 to 16 represents the protection of rights to education for about another 10 thousand children”, the PM stated.
In addition, the Ministry of Education’s curriculum overhaul will focus on lessons that will equip students to interact and thrive in the real world.
Two hundred schools countrywide will also benefit from expanded fast-speed internet access.
“Join #PlanBelize… priorities placed on realizing positive progress for our people,” PM Briceno added.
