Belize City man charged for wounding and threatening

By BBN Staff: A Belize City man is out on bail after being charged for hitting a woman and cursing her out.

Joseph Anthony Lopez Jr., appeared in court today before Chief Magistrate Sharon Fraser answering to one count of wounding and one count of using insulting words.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges and was granted bail, with no objection, in the sum of $1,000 plus one surety which he was able to meet.

Lopez is due back in court on August 29.
