By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness informed of a coming “plateau” in the new cases of COVID-19, as the country is on the cusp of a wave of cases caused by Omicron subvariants BA.4 and particularly BA.5, which spread more rapidly but do not appear to be as serious in their symptoms.

Some 185 new cases were reported over the weekend countrywide, with active cases down to 689. Five persons are hospitalized.
