BEL announces power cut from Belize City to Mile 8 on George Price Highway on Wednesday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: BEL announced two 25-minute power cuts from Belize City to Mile 8 on George Price Highway on Wednesday.

BEL said power will be interrupted from 1:35 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday afternoon from Mile 1 to Mile 8.

The first power interruption was on Wednesday morning from 7:00 am to 7:25 am.

BEL said the interruptions are necessary “to install devices (recloser) on the distribution system in order to improve power supply in the area”.
