Pre-school in Hopkins Village damaged by fire

By Benjamin Flowers: Police report that a Pre-school in Hopkins Village was damaged by fire last night.

Authorities were called to the scene of a fire around 9:30 p.m. at Holy Family RC Preschool on the south side of the village.

Upon arrival, authorities observed the 45-foot by 40-foot building with flames coming from the inside.

The blaze was extinguished with help from community members, but several items inside were damaged. The building was not insured.

An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
