Belizean Winston Miranda opens restaurant in Los Angeles to offer delicious Belizean-Garifuna dishes

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Winston Miranda, the owner of the Los Angeles only Garifuna food truck opened his first restaurant on July 2, 2022.

The ‘Gusina Saraba’ which means the Wake-up Kitchen is located inside Mercado La Paloma in Historic South Central.

The restaurant will feature Belizean cuisine including Garifuna dishes, which will be available by special order, LA eater reports.

The restaurant will offer a weekend brunch menu featuring endless fry jacks.

Appetizers include conch fritters, panades, salbutes, garnaches, and tacos.

Miranda’s Garifuna dishes include bundiga, hudut, and tapou all of which can be ordered in advance.

Gusina Saraba will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
