BREAKING: Molasses truck, commuter bus and Bowen truck collide near Rhaburn Ridge

By Aaron Humes: Reports coming in this morning indicate what has been described as “a really bad accident” on the Phillip Goldson Highway just before Rhaburn Ridge at the extreme northern edge of the Belize District.

The accident is confirmed to involve a blue Crystal Bowen and Bowen truck, a separate Bowen and Bowen van, a molasses tanker for Belize Sugar Industries Limited (BSI) and an Enriquez bus.

Precise details of what led to the collision and the extent of injuries are being determined at this time, but preliminary reports say it is serious.

Emergency services and police are en route.

It is a rainy morning and motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution on approaching the area as the investigation continues.
