World record: Meet Anne, an incredible eight-year-old girl who can recite every country’s capital and currency

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Anne, an 8-year-old primary school student from Cardiff, UK can recite 195 capital cities in 7 minutes, the BBC reports.

Anne can recite the capital cities and currencies of 195 countries in a record time of 7 minutes and 15 seconds.

Anne’s dad says that it all began as a game she played in the car and now she is in the spotlight.

Anne did it in an OMG Book of World Records live stream event.

Her dad, Winston Jacob travels for work, sparking Anne’s interest in different countries.

Jacob says that he began telling her about the capital cities when Anne was only 4 and she would remember them.

And by the age of 6, she knew all the capital cities and currencies.

Anne is also able to say thank you in 16 languages and count to 10 in nine languages.

Several world record books have now recorded Anne, who has dedicated her record to her grandfather who passed away last year.

Anne’s goal is to become a pediatrician, but for now, she is considering a new memory challenge for Guinness World Records.
