International News: Meet the Indian woman who flaunts her moustache

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Shyja, a 35-year-old Indian woman says that she loves her mustache. As such, she has received both appreciation and criticism online, the BBC reports.

“I love my mustache,” Shyja noted on her Whatsapp status. When asked why she has a mustache, she responds that she likes it a lot.

While she would get her eyebrows threaded, Shyja says she didn’t feel the need to remove the mustache.

“I can’t imagine living without it now. When the Covid pandemic started, I disliked wearing a mask all the time because it covered my face,” she told the BBC.

Even after people urged her to get rid of it, she says she refused.

“I just do what I like. If I had two lives, maybe I’d live one for others,” she said.

Shyja is a firm believer in living life in a way that makes her happy.

And, she remains unbothered by the comments and jokes made about her on Facebook.
