Belize Tourism Board offers scholarship for Bachelor’s Degrees in Tourism Management

By Benjamin Flowers: The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) has announced that it is offering five scholarships for those seeking a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management at the University of Belize.

To be eligible to apply for the scholarships, applicants must be a Belizean citizen, have an associate’s degree from a recognized tertiary level institution, have an acceptance letter into the Tourism Management program at the University of Belize for the year 2022, and have an excellent academic record and demonstrate potential for leadership in tourism

“[The] Deadline to submit applications is August 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.,” the BTB said. “Applications will be evaluated by an independent selection committee and announced by August 8, 2022.”

The BTB added that scholarships will be granted for a maximum of 4 semesters (2 academic years) and covers the cost of tuition which will be paid directly to the University of Belize. Scholarship recipients must maintain a GPA of 3.0 for the duration of the program.
