By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belmopan City Council is organizing the Belize International College of Mayor’s and Investors Conference (BICMIC) in Belmopan from August 3-6.

Mayor Palacio, who is currently in Liberia for that country’s Independence Day celebrations, said she has mayors coming from Ghana, Liberia, and other places.

Mayor Palacio has been promoting the four-day Mayor’s and Investors Conference during her Africa Tour.

“It’s going to be huge,” Mayor Palacio said. “Thru this valuable partnership we will bring much-needed investments to our municipalities.

“BICMIC is a movement that will be beneficial to all of us. It is a platform to harness our strengths and synergies for productive and practical purposes.”

Palacio said that the Belmopan City Council, as an organized body, had significant experience to lead Belizean communities to achieve the highest social and economic standards.

“A community that is vibrant, engaged, and employed will contribute to global peace,” Mayor Palacio said.
