Verdes make official team presentation on Monday evening prior to Wednesday Concacaf League match

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: National football champions Verdes FC are making their official team presentation on Monday evening prior to Wednesday’s Concacaf League match against Platense of El Salvador who should arrive here later.

Apart from Mexican duo of Edwin Villeda Bernal and Christian Ramírez, Colombian Camilo Márquez Fajardo, and Argentine Facundo Garnier, whom they refer to as “the core of our foreign players”, Verdes have also added two Paraguayans and another Mexican to their squad.

“We have brought in three international players, namely Luis Ibarra, a Paraguayan forward, Mario Narvaez, a Paraguayan centre-back, and Mexican Waldo Jiménez. He’s a utility right-back defensive midfielder,” said Verdes Manager Lorin Frazer.

“The locals, we have added Under-19 National Team player Zion Ramos and Aaron Lopez formerly Wagiya. I think he made his first appearance for the National Team recently. For Zion Ramos, this should be his first stint at the top level.

Verdes still have goalkeepers Woodrow West and Charles Tillett, and players like Desmond Wade, Jaylen Lennan, Evral Trapp, Krisean Lopez, Eldon Reneau, Jovaunn Ramos, and Norman Anderson among others.

This season, Verdes will be without the services of Mexican forward Carlos ‘Chino’ López who, according to Frazer, couldn’t return because of personal issues and Belizean defender Errol Smith, who should suit up for Port Layola FC.
