Digi is back online after service interruptions due to damaged cables

By Benjamin Flowers: Digi Belize reported moments ago that its services have been fully restored after damages to cables earlier today caused disruptions to customers.

Shortly after 10:30 a.m. Digi sent out a text to customers saying that DigiNet and DigiTel services were experiencing issues due to cuts in their fiber optic cables.

Sources tell BBN that the telecoms provider is considering the possibility of sabotage, given the nature of the damage to the cables; however, no official word has been issued regarding the possibility.
