Resilient Rural Belize, Ministry of Agriculture conduct wax processing and stamping training for Orange Walk beekeepers

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Resilient Rural Belize and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE). conducted a wax processing and stamping training workshop for Orange Walk beekeepers.

“The aim is for the beekeepers to reuse the beeswax after honey harvest and produce their own wax sheets, reducing cost of production,” said MAFSE.

The wax processing and stamping training workshop was held at the San Felipe Maya Golden Honey Group base for the local beekeepers on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 26-27.

The workshop was organized by Resilient Rural Belize and facilitated by Extension Officers Miguel Huertas and Federico Chi of the Orange Walk Agric Station and Resilient Rural Belize Extension Officer Cornelio Tzib, said the Ministry of Agriculture.
