Belize and Cuba celebrate 27 years of diplomatic relations

To mark the momentous occasion, the Belize-Cuba Solidarity Group celebrated in Belize City, Prensa Latina reports.

They were joined by representatives from the Cuban Embassy and the Minister of Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform, Henry Charles Usher, who highlighted the importance of bilateral ties between the 2 countries.

Charles Usher also recalled that Cuba supported Belize’s Independence at the UN.

Charles Usher reiterated the historic nature of the 2 Governments and people because of the common causes and cooperation in health and education.

On July 15, 1995, the governments of Belize and Cuba established diplomatic relations and have enjoyed strong bilateral relations since then.
