Belize falls to Costa Rica 3-1 in U-23 Women’s Central American Volleyball Championship in Honduras

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize fought gallantly in the fourth set but lost 26-28 to Costa Rica conceding the game 1-3 at the U-23 Women’s Central American Volleyball Championship in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

After faltering in the first set, Costa Rica won the game 22-25, 25-20, 25-18, 28-26.

Team Belize is now 1-1 at the regional championship having rocked Panama 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-12) in their first encounter on Thursday.

Nicaragua beat Panama 3-0 (25-9, 25-14, 25-7) in the first game on Friday. Guatemala will close against hosts Honduras at 7:00 pm.

Team Belize rests tomorrow Saturday and returns on Sunday against Guatemala at 4:30 pm.
