USAID donates communication equipment to Belizean law enforcement

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, USAID, the US Agency for International Development donated communication equipment to Belizean law enforcement.

Minister of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries, Kareem Musa was on hand to receive the donation.

The equipment, a high-powered Dell server, and three Dell workstations will strengthen the chain of information among multiple Government of Belize agencies so that criminal investigation processes are methodical and thorough.

“Data-driven decision making is foundational to an effective national security apparatus. The USAID – US Agency for International Development funded this donation through the #Infosegura Regional Project with implementing partner UNDP Belize,” the U.S. Embassy in Belize said.

This donation is a part of broader U.S. efforts through InfoSegura to improve crime and justice data platforms in Belize and other regional neighbors.
