Belize Weather: Fair today, all change tonight

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service promises a change in the weather later tonight after a fair start.

Skies today will be sunny with cloudy spells and isolated showers or thunderstorms. Tonight, skies will be cloudy at times with an increase in shower activity, especially over the south.

High temperatures today hit 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 95 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 79 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at five to 15 knots. The seas will be choppy with waves of three to five feet.

Tides will be high at 10:42 this morning and 11:54 this evening, and low at 5:57 this evening. Sunset this evening is at 6:26 and sunrise on Sunday morning at 5:31.

A few showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected countrywide on Sunday, decreasing to affect mainly southern districts on Sunday night.
