Police seeking help identifying vehicle used in Alrick Smith murder

By BBN Staff: Police are asking the public’s assistance in identifying the getaway vehicle used in the murder of 39-year-old Alrick Smith.

Smith was fatally shot around 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, in front of the Rene Villanueva Media Center on Slaughterhouse Road.

Smith had just dropped off a cash donation at Love FM and after spending some time inside the studio was leaving along with a female companion when two men ambushed him on the way to his vehicle.

The men fired as many at ten shots killing Smith on the spot then jumped into the awaiting silver SUV which is heavily tinted and is damaged to the rear driver’s side by the tail light and has three dents in the driver’s door.

Anyone able to identify the vehicle is urged to call 911, 922, or the nearest police station.
