Crooked Tree wins Marconi Leal Softball Marathon

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Crooked Tree won the Marconi Leal Softball Marathon held at the Sand Hill football field on Sunday, July 31.

Crooked Tree ran over Double Head Cabbage Unity 15-1 in the final.

Gardenia took third place while Bermudian Landing finished fourth.

The Marconi Leal Softball Marathon had started the previous weekend in Gardenia, but the field was too wet, and it was moved to Sandhill for this past weekend.

Incidentally, since Rogers Stadium was also too wet this past weekend, the Belize City Men’s Softball Championship weekend game between Dream Crushers and BEL Wolf Pack was also played in Sand Hill on Sunday. Dream Crushers defeated Wolfpack 8-2.
